METAvivor - Triangle Metsquerade

METAvivor is dedicated to the specific fight of women and men living with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. At the time of METAvivor’s founding, no organization was dedicated to funding research for the disease and no patient groups were speaking out about the dearth of stage 4 cancer research.  While more and more people have taken up the cry for more stage 4 research, METAvivor remains the sole US organization dedicated to awarding annual stage 4 breast cancer research.

This was our 2nd donation as a group and one that hit close to home. A member of the Society was battling stage 4 cancer. She has since lost that battle; however, we keep fighting in her name.

Donation = $13,450.00

Unit Scholarship Fund

 The USF is an ALL-VOLUNTEER, non-profit, tax-exempt 501 (c)(3) organization, and since its establishment in 1993, it has honored our Fallen Special Operations Soldiers by awarding merit based post-secondary educational memorial scholarships to the Daughters, Sons and Spouses of America’s most elite Fighting Force.

For our 2nd fundraiser we will started our day at Southern Grace Distilleries in Mt. Pleasant where Leanne and her staff provided us a VIP behind the scenes tour of the old Prison that is now the home of their award winning Conviction bourbon (as well as a few other labels). This tour lasted a little over 2 hours. From there, we headed over to 73 & Main for dinner and the donation presentation to the USF Board Members.

Smooth Ambler Spirits
Stave Holder Presentation

NCBS was honored to present Mr. John Little and Mr. Andrew Robinson with Stave Holder coins. The Smooth Ambler team has been tremendous supporters of NCBS, North Carolina Charities, and bringing great bourbon to North Carolina!!! Without them, we would not have been able to raise as much $$ for charity as we have over the last four years.

Their West Virginia moxie, hometown pride, and all-around positive nature make them one of the best in business!!! They are a must visit and a must have bourbon/rye on your shelf to enjoy.

We are honored to have such great supporters and friends like John, Andrew, and the entire Smooth Ambler team.
