NCBS was honored to be selected for a 2nd year in a row to team up with Four Roses and the Mocksville-Coolemee ABC Board to raise money for the The Dragonfly House. On 20 November 2023, the NCBS Pick Team spent the day with Four Roses tasting each of their ten recipes. Talk about an amazing experience. Top Notch!!!

If you are not familiar with this charity, they are a Child Advocacy Center with the goal of ending child abuse. We ask that you take a moment and visit their website www.thedragonflyhouse.com and see all the great things they are doing. The barrel selected ended up yielding only 114 bottles; however, we still managed to raise $8,125.00 for The Dragonfly House.

Cheers!

If you recall, back on 21 August 2023, the NCBS Barrel Selection Team spent the day with Bruce Russell. What and amazing experience!! Bruce did such a great job walking everyone through the process, his thoughts on each offering, and made sure that the 2024 Russell's Reserve Charity Barrel was top notch.

Cheers to Bruce, the Russell's family and all of Wild Turkey for their years of support and hard work bringing great bourbon to North Carolina!

On 20 October 2023, the NCBS Barrel Selection Team visited the Jack Daniel's Distillery for a Single Barrel Rye Barrel Proof selection. If you have never made the trip to this facility, you are truly missing out. Nested in the Tennesse country, this place is full of whiskey history and great people!

At the completion of our selection, no easy task by the way..., the folks at Jack Daniel's told us we could have two. Those in the Single Barrel Selection circles know that this is something that you never ask for and never turn down when offered. Humbled to say the least, the selection team had no issues selecting a second.
